24 HOURS IN PARIS…
My suggestions on the best things to do, see and eat to make the most of a limited time visit.
Here’s how my ideal day would go.
Palais Garnier - The Paris Opera House - View only - Free
Galleries Lafayette - Department store - Inside - Free
Arc de Triomphe - 13 Euro
Avenue Champs Elysees - Walk along the avenue (don’t shop here)
Laduree - Quick stop to get the best macarons of your life, then carry on
Jardin des Tuileries - Walk through the gardens to:
Angelinas - pop in to grab the hot chocolate and a pastry to enjoy in the garden.
musee D’orsay OR - tickets online
Musee Louvre (if you want to go into a gallery) - tickets online
Walk along the river and cross over at
pont des arts (formally love lock bridge) OR
pont nuef (oldest bridge in paris - connects the island in the middle of the river)
head over to the latin quarter for a quick and easy lunch
head over to see the notredame cathedral (can check out shakespeare and co book store too, of grab a coffee next door with a great view)
saint chapelle - worth every minute - 14 euro tickets online
We’re headed into the evening by now, so you have a couple options.
head to montmarte and see the best view over paris neighbouhoods
head inside the basillica sacre couer - free entry
walk around the montmarte district and enjoy the artists square
while you’re over there, check out the red night district and catch a cabaret show - moulin rouge is the best of them all, but if you havent pre purchased tickets, theres other shows that are more accessible.
head over to the trocadero, its a great view point for a photo with the eiffel tower.
head down the hill, cross the river again and find a spot to sit on the grass and relish in the beauty of the eiffel tower.
